Scrapbooking in the Classroom
Dates: Jul 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 2006

This course will introduce you to the techniques involved in creating a scrapbook with, and for your students. You will learn how to use scrap-booking tools to crop your pictures and create pages which tell a story. Help you students develop journaling skills to tell their story and record their history. Create a classroom legacy. Bring a roll of pictures of your class.

Photojournaling Across the Curriculum
Dates: 2006 Apr 19, 24, 26, May 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24
Times: Mondays at 5:00 PM, Wednesdays at 5:00 PM

Make your own classroom projects and units come alive. Chronicle field trips and special activities. Enable your students to "publish" their book reports and completed class projects in a permanent, more significant manner. Create albums which will showcase your students' work and assist in introducing units to future classes. Produce a class yearbook which will document and highlight the year's activities.

Developing Student Writing Through Pictures and Poetry

Description: Explore the reciprocal relationship of words and pictures. Enable students to relate and preserve real life classroom experiences. Coordinate written expressions of prose and poetry with pictures of real life first person experiences

Advanced Scrapbooking in the Classroom

This course will continue with more complex techniques to involve your class in creating a scrapbook... a chronicle of events and feelings of the school year. Journaling techniques will be expanded to include sequencing, cause and effect, dialog, paraphrasing, etc. It presents a chance to hone students writing skills as you create a classroom history. Bring pictures to class.
